About Heinlein Studies
In 2004, members of the Heinlein Society and a group of independent scholars combined forces
to found Robert A. Heinlein Studies, an area of the Popular Culture Association (PCA). Under the
leadership of area chair Lisa Edmonds D'Amico, RAH Studies has appeared at four national
PCA/ACA conferences: San Antonio 2004, San Diego 2005, Atlanta 2006 and Boston 2007.
Details on the papers presented at these conferences can be found by following the links at left.

Select papers presented at the San Antonio conference were published in a special Heinlein-
themed issue of Foundation, one of the premier journals of science fiction studies. Other papers
presented at all three conferences have been or will be published in the Heinlein Journal, the
only scholarly journal dedicated to the study of Robert A. Heinlein and his works.
RAH Studies plans to expand its scope to include other conferences and conventions, both
regional and national, as it continues to grow.
